In this video we're going to take a look at EIGRP
Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a Cisco proprietary routing protocol although an informational RFC has been released.
It's an interior gateway protocol (IGP) meaning it been designed to be used within a single autonomous system. It's often described as an advanced distance vector protocol as it had both links state and distance vector like features.
EIGRP uses a three step process.
Become neighbours - Two routers running EIGRP form a neighbour relationship
Exchange routing information - The neighbouring routers send full update and then partial updates if any changes occur
Choose the best routes - Each router chooses the best routes to add to its routing table based route metric
